About the Imperial Valley Drug Coalition Fentanyl Awareness  Campaign

Who We Are

The Imperial Valley Drug Coalition (IVDC) is a partnership among local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies that are committed to protecting Imperial Valley residents from the dangers of fentanyl. The Fentanyl Awareness Campaign is a comprehensive approach to reducing the fentanyl threat by working with local schools, public health leaders, and community organizations.

This campaign was created to protect families, save lives, and make sure every resident has access to accurate information, support, and resources in the face of a growing public health crisis.

Our Mission
To save lives by giving every Imperial County resident clear, evidence-based information about fentanyl risks and fast access to life-saving resources such as naloxone and overdose-response training.

What We Do

  • Publish bilingual fact sheets, toolkits, and infographics that simplify complex science.

  • Host school and community trainings that teach prevention and emergency response.

  • Maintain a one-stop online resource library and contact portal for technical assistance.

Why It Matters
Just two milligrams of fentanyl - the size of a few grains of salt - can be fatal. Rapid, accurate information and widely available naloxone turn potential tragedies into lives saved.
